Internal Medicine Residency Committees

The three committees below work to ensure that residents get the most out of the experience. Contact IMChiefResidents@NYULangone.org for more information.

Wellness Committee

The Internal Medicine Residency Wellness Committee is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing, support, and connection among residents. We promote social, physical, financial, and emotional wellness by organizing and holding various events, all while prioritizing work–life balance, mental health, and professional development. By creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment, we support and empower residents to thrive in their personal and professional lives. After all, the better care we take of ourselves, the better care and compassion we can give to our patients.

Mentorship Committee

We are dedicated to fostering meaningful connections that support residents’ clinical development, career exploration, and personal growth. Through peer mentorship, career-focused pairing with attendings in diverse subspecialties and primary care, and matching shared interests beyond medicine, we empower residents to thrive during their training and beyond. Together, these initiatives create a comprehensive mentorship experience that nurtures skilled, compassionate, and purpose-driven leaders in internal medicine.

Education Committee

We are committed to providing a rigorous, relevant, and supportive learning environment that empowers residents to achieve clinical excellence, succeed at board certification, and grow through meaningful feedback. We foster collaboration among residents and faculty, continuously improving our curriculum and championing a culture of lifelong learning.
