Jamie Chin, PharmD
At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I am a clinical oncology pharmacy specialist with expertise treating patients in the hematology–oncology, gynecology–oncology, and neurological oncology spheres. I also assist in medication management for pediatric–oncology patients.
During daily rounds with the medical oncology team, I coordinate patient care, educate people about their treatment, manage adverse reactions, and arrange chemotherapy and biotherapy sessions.
In addition to serving as a preceptor for pharmacy practice residents and oncology fellows, I conduct research and quality improvement projects and give a monthly pharmacology lecture to oncology fellows. I also create new treatment order sets, update and develop pharmacy-centered protocols, and provide new treatment education to nursing and pharmacy teams.
In addition to being on NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island’s Oncology Quality Improvement Committee and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, I serve on the board of the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists and am a member of the Hematology–Oncology Pharmacy Association, as well as the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
