Meredith Akerman, MS
I’m a biostatistician and statistical consultant at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, where I provide physicians and researchers with statistical expertise, including study design, statistical power and sample size calculations, data analyses, interpretation of results, and manuscript preparation for publication. I also serve as a biostatistics reviewer for the NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island Institutional Review Board.
I collaborate on medical research that encompasses several therapeutic areas, including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, geriatrics, surgery, cardiology, pharmacy, and oncology. My research interests include design and analysis of clinical trials, longitudinal data, survival analysis, diagnostic testing and screening, and regression modeling.
From 2015 to 2017, I served as senior biostatistician at Feinstein Institute for Medical Research at Northwell Health, in the biostatistics unit.
