I bring more than 20 years of experience to my position as assistant dean and director of continuing medical education (CME) at NYU Winthrop Hospital, where I specialize in designing innovative continuing educational programs for doctors, nurses, and other clinicians. My expertise includes creating assessments that measure the impact of clinician continuing education on performance improvement, quality measures, and patient health outcomes.

I’m passionate about developing clinicians as teachers, and enjoy mentoring across a wide variety of backgrounds, including business development, quality improvement, business process design, compliance, entrepreneurial projects, and new product offerings. I also consult on grant proposal development, needs assessment, curriculum design, and educational accreditation for licensed clinical professions.

From 2015 to 2018, I served as a voting member of NYU Winthrop Hospital Institutional Review Board and oversaw ethics in human subject research. Before coming to NYU Winthrop Hospital, I served as vice president of learning outcomes and assessment for Scientiae LLC, a CME provider located in New York City that specializes in hands-on workshops.

As a member of the board of directors of the Association for Hospital Medical Education, I chair the Council on Professional and Faculty Development. I’m also part of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s Accreditation Review Committee and the Conjoint Committee on Continuing Education’s Task Force on Opioid Abuse. I’m currently an advisor to several business start-up firms in the diagnostic and adult education spaces.

My undergraduate experience included studying theatre and English literature at Dartmouth College. I then went on to Yale School of Management, where I earned an MBA in healthcare leadership with honors in finance, economics, and human resources. During my time at Yale, I won several competitive prizes as a business development entrepreneur in diagnostics. I’m currently a board member of a theater in Brooklyn Heights.
