Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine provides clinical and educational opportunities in this challenging and rapidly evolving field.

Led by Linda Sung, MD, we care for a diverse population of patients at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island and NYU Langone Reproductive Specialists of New York. All of our physicians are board-certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialists. We have the knowledge and expertise to help people with reproductive endocrine disorders such as prolactin, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, puberty and sexual development, menstrual disorders, müllerian anomalies, and recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as conditions related to infertility that affect a person’s eggs, sperm, uterine, tubes, or cervix.

We perform a range of assisted reproductive technology procedures including intrauterine insemination (IUI); in vitro fertilization (IVF); preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) for aneuploidy, monoclonal, structural rearrangements, and human leukocyte antigens (HLA); fertility preservation of eggs, embryos, and sperm; egg donation; and gestational surrogacy. We are skilled in a variety of surgeries individualized to each patient’s needs.

Our team is committed to passing on expertise to the next generation of reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialists. We teach medical students, obstetrics and gynecology residents, and attending physicians. Our faculty lecture regionally and nationwide on diverse topics, and we lead research studies and publish papers every year.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Education

Our training initiatives for medical students include didactic lectures on topics such as infertility, ectopic pregnancies, puberty, sexual development, endometriosis, menopause, PCOS, and assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments. We also give clinical lectures on ART and infertility.

We give ongoing lectures for obstetrics and gynecology residents to assist in their performance on the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology examinations and board examinations. Our physicians frequently lecture on various reproductive endocrinology and infertility topics at grand rounds both regionally and internationally.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Research

Our team is focused on several research areas. All of our research projects involve medical students, obstetrics and gynecology residents, and any students, staff, and physicians who are interested in participating.
