Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine’s Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship. Our program does not participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) or the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Fellowship Program Details

Fellows receive training in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, with focused, one-on-one attention from full-time faculty members who have experience in advanced cardiac imaging. Our one-year fellowship provides a high volume of cases from a diverse patient population.

Fellows are afforded opportunities to participate in research projects and attend and present at national and local scientific conferences, including those of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

Training period: 1 year
Training dates: July 1–June 30

Teaching faculty include expert cardiologists dedicated to cardiovascular imaging. Training takes place almost entirely at the NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, New York. However, there is opportunity for off-site teaching at NYU Langone’s campus in New York City.

Graduates of our program are expected to meet requirements for both Level 3 CCT and Level 3 CMR certification.

The fellowship is overseen by Edward H. Nabet, DO, program director of the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island.

Fellowship Eligibility

Eligible candidates must have completed three years of cardiology fellowship in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)– or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)–accredited program.

Candidates who have completed a cardiology fellowship outside the country may be considered if they meet the “exceptional candidate” requirements set by the ACGME.
