The Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine is committed to providing exceptional medical education, research opportunities, and clinical care of patients. Our department excels in providing clinical subspecialty pathology diagnoses for NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, a tertiary care facility, and offers outstanding educational training focused on primary care medicine.

The breadth of our department’s expertise is illustrated through our Division of Anatomic Pathology and Division of Clinical Pathology, which offer a full spectrum of laboratory testing. Students and trainees learn from faculty members who regularly publish their findings in peer-reviewed journals and have earned national and international accolades for their accomplishments.

Our anatomic subspecialties include gastrointestinal, urologic, gynecologic, breast, thoracic, soft tissue, and otolaryngologic pathology, as well as neuropathology, hematopathology, dermatopathology, and autopsy pathology. Our clinical pathology subspecialties encompass chemistry, microbiology, cytogenetics, hematology, molecular pathology, coagulation, and transfusion medicine.
