Associate Curator, Department of Foundations of Medicine
My primary research interest focuses on assisting in the design and execution of synthesizing evidence to produce comprehensive literature reviews to inform healthcare practices and guidelines. My work in evidence synthesis projects requires collaboration among multi-disciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, researchers, and trainees.
My colleagues and I are actively engaged in educational activities focused on improving learning outcomes for medical students, nurses, and residents. We are embedded in the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine curriculum covering evidence-based medicine and related topics across all years of medical school. We are embedded in the nurse residency and nursing science fellowship programs and also regularly teach classes on how to find and assess evidence for nursing practice.
As the Director of the Hollis Health Sciences Library, I also oversee library spaces, resources, and services for NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, and Long Island Community Hospital. I’m also interested in investigating and improving how members of these communities engage with the library space and library services. Ultimately, my goal is to actively contribute to their success as learners, educators, researchers, and practitioners.
