Gladys M. Ayala, MD, MPH

As an internal medicine-primary care physician by training, I have spent over thirty years as a medical educator, training medical students, developing educational programs and resources for medical students and faculty, implementing DEI initiatives, and mentoring faculty in leadership development.

As Dean of the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, the second medical school of NYU Langone Health, with a mission to train and mentor primary care physicians to become academic leaders and address physician workforce shortages in New York State, I will continue to drive educational innovation across the educational continuum (medical students, residents, and faculty) and foster the development of new models for primary care healthcare delivery.
