Assistant Curator, Department of Foundations of Medicine
As Reference and Instruction Librarian and Assistant Curator, I provide curricular and research support to a variety of learners and healthcare professionals. My colleagues and I are embedded in the undergraduate medical curriculum at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. We teach students how to locate, analyze, and appraise evidence for the provision of patient care. I also teach in the Nurse Residency Programs at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island and Long Island Community Hospital, helping nurses acquire high-quality evidence to prepare nurses for their evidence-based nursing projects and their scholarly endeavors as they transition into practice.
Over the years, I've participated in extensive training on systematic reviews and other forms of evidence synthesis, including NEST’s Institute for Comprehensive Systematic Review, which has deepened my understanding and skills in conducting rigorous literature searches to support clinical decision-making. Beyond providing expert searching, I advise on project protocols and methodologies.
In addition to my teaching work, I’m particularly interested in information-seeking behaviors and in finding new and creative ways to share information.
