Monifa Carter

My role as part of the William C. Hollis Health Sciences Library team is to make information accessible to researchers by ensuring that resources provided by the library are discoverable. This includes adding representations of these resources to the Hollis Health Science Library’s integrated library system and ensuring that they adhere to conventional standards in the information science profession.  I also oversee local resource sharing operations, including creating internal policies and collaborating with professionals at other libraries. This service not only benefits our primary users at the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine and NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, but expands the reach of the library’s collection so that it can support researchers nationally.
