Patricia (Trish) is the Director of Simulation Education at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine, where she leads undergraduate and graduate medical education (UME and GME) simulation programs designed to strengthen clinical and communication skills while fostering effective interdisciplinary teamwork. As a registered nurse and a master trainer of TeamSTEPPS, she brings a unique perspective to her role, combining clinical expertise with proven strategies for enhancing team performance and patient safety. With a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from NYU Wagner School of Public Service, she is dedicated to using simulation to improve patient safety and elevate the patient experience across the hospital.
A passionate advocate for simulation-based education, Trish has developed longitudinal assessment strategies for medical trainees, ensuring that simulation exercises translate into meaningful, patient-centered outcomes. She is an active Society for Simulation in Healthcare member, contributing to advancing best practices in the field and promoting simulation’s role in healthcare excellence. Her team-based approach and commitment to continuous improvement have positioned the simulation center as a cornerstone of training excellence at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine.
