Behavioral Health at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island
Mental health services are available at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island through the Behavioral Health Department at 516-663-2691.
Corporate Counseling Services (CCA)
The Employee/Student Assistance Program provided through CCA Inc. provides you with support to help manage your stress and cope with grief, relationship concerns, and caregiver burnout, among other needs. Counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you and your family members with emotional and practical support. To learn more, call CCA at 1-800-833-8707 or visit NYU Langone’s Mental Well-Being portal (Kerberos ID and password required). CCA’s services are confidential and provided at no cost to you.
Virtual Counseling
In response to the growing mental wellbeing concerns of our employees, short-term counseling is available with remote appointments via phone or video. All employees and medical students have access to clinical counselors from CCA Inc. who provide complimentary and confidential consultations on a wide range of personal and professional concerns. Because this program is not intended for long-term treatment, you are allotted eight sessions per issue per calendar year.
Virtual counseling is available by appointment only every Thursday from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. To schedule your confidential 50-minute session, contact Dr. Eleonora Odes, the designated counselor for NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, at EOdes@CCAInc.com.
NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates
If you’re enrolled in one of the NYU Langone medical plans, you have access to mental health specialists who participate in the plan’s top-tier network. The NYU Langone medical plans cover mental health office visits at a low copay or no copay.
If you or a covered family member needs care from NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, call 212-263-7419 to schedule an assessment with a practice clinician. After the assessment, you will be referred to a top-tier physician within the practice.
NYU Langone’s Child Study Center
The Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, can help treat children and adolescents. You can contact the Child Study Center in Manhattan at 646-754-4958 or on Long Island at 516-358-1808.
Peer Support Program
The Peer Support Program is a network of approximately 80 clinicians who have received training to provide emotional support to faculty and house staff during times of crisis, particularly after adverse medical events or critical incidents. Peer support is timely and confidential. We also connect those who are in need to long-term psychological support.
Registered Nurse Peer Support Program
The mission of this program is to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and provide support and enhance the overall wellness of NYU Langone nurses. Learn more about the Registered Nurse Peer Support Program (Kerberos ID and password required).
Spiritual Support
NYU Langone chaplains are available on-site at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island or by phone to provide you with spiritual support. Chaplains are available on units, or you can contact the Spiritual Care Office at 516-663-4749.

Day chaplain: 9:00AM–5:00PM, Monday through Friday
Evening chaplain: 3:00–11:00PM, Monday through Friday (pager 6161)
On-call chaplain: available through AMION
Crisis Intervention
Team Lavender is NYU Langone’s crisis intervention tool to support people after any stressful event that affects an individual staff person or unit such as death, trauma, or unexpected and poor outcomes. Lavender Response is designed to provide support when adverse and emergent situations arise so that clinicians’ emotional needs are addressed in a timely manner.
