Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. We accept five residents each year.
Our residents work directly with department faculty to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in obstetrics and gynecology and its subspecialties to a diverse group of patients, creating a comprehensive learning environment.
We offer compensation and benefits through the Office of Graduate Medical Education.
Application Process
All applications must be submitted through ResidencyCAS. The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) code is as follows:

Applications must include a medical student performance evaluation, an official medical school transcript, an official copy of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores, and at least three letters of recommendation, one of which is a Standardized Letter of Evaluation (SLOE).
We only consider applicants who have passed Step 1 of the USMLE and who intend to take or passed Step 2 of the USMLE. This also applies to individuals who have passed Level 1 of Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) and intend to take or passed Level 2.
ResidencyCAS applications are due September 25th, 2024. In accordance with the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine will notify applicants selected for an interview on October 29, 2024, and release final status to applicants (interview, reject, or waitlist) no later than November 27th, 2024.
Interviews for postgraduate year 1 (PGY-1) positions will take place virtually from November through December 2024 for positions beginning in July. Applicants selected for interview will be contacted by email. A limited number of candidates are selected for an interview, and no candidate is ranked without an interview.
