Office of Student Affairs
NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine’s Office of Student Affairs supports individual and professional development initiatives that create an inclusive community for medical students. Our mission is to foster excellence, compassion, and integrity through proactive advising and career counseling for all students.
We develop and implement programs, policies, and services that promote self-awareness, resilience, and well-being. Our learning environment encourages respect, collegiality, kindness, and cooperation.
Our programming includes:
- academic coaching
- career exploration and departmental advising
- Gold Humanism Society
- student life
- wellness initiatives
- student groups and clubs
- para-curricular activities
Students have numerous opportunities to participate in clubs and activities, allowing them to explore areas of interest and collaborate with peers who share similar passions. The Office of Student Affairs encourages students to join existing clubs, organize new activities, and engage with our specialty interest groups. We also provide support for students to take on leadership roles within representative groups, helping to enhance and better our student community.
Our staff is here to assist you in achieving your para-curricular goals and ensuring a fulfilling and enriching medical school experience. We act as liaisons between students and the larger NYU Langone Health community, building relationships, supporting transitions, and fostering comprehensive experiences.
Accessible Housing
The New York University Moses Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) accepts and reviews requests for accessible housing from students with disabilities who are otherwise eligible to reside in NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine housing. Students seeking accessible housing should complete an application on the CSA website. Students will be assigned an accessibility specialist who will be in contact about their application.
