MD Student Elective Catalog
NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine offers a variety of clinical elective rotations as part of our MD curriculum. They are offered as either two- or four-week blocks during phase two or phase three of training. Students matriculated at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine participate in a lottery process to create their elective schedule.
Visiting students apply for elective rotations through the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO).
NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine students receive information about the processes for “away” electives at other U.S. medical schools or teaching hospitals.
