Division of Vascular Surgery
The mission of the Division of Vascular Surgery at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with vascular conditions and to educate the next generation of vascular surgeons.
Using an interdisciplinary approach and advanced technology, we provide unparalleled treatment for patients with a range of venous and arterial conditions. We are a group of board-certified vascular surgeons who are dedicated to the growth of our field through the medical and surgical management of vascular disease, participation in clinical and basic science research, and dedication to resident and medical student education.
Vascular Surgery Education
As vascular surgeons and educators, we are intimately involved with the training of our general surgery residents and the education of medical students at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. From daily rounds to the operating room, our vascular surgeons find every opportunity to engage our trainees through discussion of cases, interesting clinical topics, and various surgical techniques. Weekly vascular conferences and lectures from invited speakers are other forums for conversation about vascular management among fellows, residents, medical students, physician assistants, technologists, and physicians from other disciplines.
As a division, we are also committed to the education and training of the next generation of clinical and academic surgeons. Residents and students of all levels are active contributors to our clinical and basic science research endeavors. Our surgical trainees routinely present their work at regional and national meetings.
