Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery
The Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery in NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery focuses on providing comprehensive care for all foot and ankle issues through the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Service at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island. Whether it’s an acute foot or ankle injury, or a chronic underlying problem, we emphasize patient education and work with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Our orthopedists provide an abundance of nonoperative treatment options for foot and ankle conditions including customized braces, supportive orthotics, specialized exercise plans, and therapeutic injections. Surgically, we offer a wide array of advanced foot and ankle procedures for trauma, deformity, and sports-related injuries.
Some common conditions that we treat include fractures of the foot or ankle, foot and ankle sprains, tendinitis of the foot or ankle, flatfoot deformity, heel pain, foot and ankle arthritis, and bunions, as well as hammertoe and other toe deformities. We pride ourselves in working with our patients throughout the treatment and rehabilitation processes. Our primary goals is getting our patients back on their feet and improving their quality of life.
Medical students wishing to explore orthopedic surgery may enroll in electives with our division as part of NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine’s MD curriculum. We also offer an opportunity for interested visiting medical students to participate in an orthopedic surgery away rotation.
